Chaos seems to have started in each region.
So you want to become a trainer to become the world's greatest Pokemon master? Or maybe you just have dreams to being a Pokemon ranger, professor, gym leader, breeder, etc.? These days, kid, I doubt you'll be able to hold onto that dream. Why? Well don't you know what's happening within the regions these days? You haven't heard the saying that, "The people in Unova are a lucky bunch."? Why would they say that? Well here... Let me explain.
In Kanto, disease is running throughout the entire region. Trainers are pushing their healthy Pokemon as far as they can go in order to save some money to try to save their other Pokemon from disease. They don't know that by pushing their healthy Pokemon so far they'll end up killing them too.
In Johto, Lugia and Ho-Oh have been missing. With this unset balance caused in from the two legendary birds missing, Raikou, Entei and Suicune have been causing havoc in Johto.
So far in Hoenn all seems well, but lately there has been reports of the ground shaking. Could this be Groundon be sensing the chaos going around from region to region? People say he's becoming disturbed. If this keeps up Hoenn will be in great danger. More reports say that with each month the ground shaking gets stronger...
All seems quiet in Sinnoh... Unless you live there or if you plan on traveling there. For some odd reason Sinnoh seems to be keeping locals stuck in the region and anyone from outside (that isn't originally from Sinnoh) isn't allowed in. Nobody is exactly sure on why, but it seems like they are keeping a secret.
Since the Unova region is located far away from the other regions everything there is fine and they seem to be away from the chaos going on with the other regions.
Forget about getting badges, kid. You won't need them. Go out with your friends, catch as many Pokemon as you can and train them to be their strongest. We need someone to save us. Do you think you and your team of Pokemon can?
We need a hero.
